Retail Associate Duties : 

The Retail Assistant will support the Store Manager with various store duties including sorting and displaying items for sale, assisting store customers with purchases, handling the exchange of money and cash register, and maintaining a clean and appealing store environment.

 Qualifications:  

• Must work well with persons of varied sexual preference, racial, ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and with individuals who are differently abled.

  
  

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Specific Duties:  

• Sort, hang, and price merchandise for sale.

• Assist with store décor and overall store appearance and organization.

• Assist customers and provide general customer service

• Receive and acknowledge donations

• Assist with store sales, promotions, public relations and advertising.

• Handle money transactions, including use of cash register.

• General education and awareness of the Advocates services and programs as requested and appropriate.

  
  

Training Requirements

Must complete orientation to the Advocates.  Other training will be provided on the job.

Schedule:

36-40 hours a week. 4 Day work week. Possible Saturday coverage.

The Attic Thrift Store is seeking a full time Retail Associate to join our team. This position will be responsible for the safe transportation of furniture items, including picking up donations and delivering purchases to customers.
