Sexual Assault Forensic Examinations

The Blaine County Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) Program provides free, compassionate care and forensic examinations for survivors of sexual assault.

The Blaine County SAFE program is vital for supporting survivors in the Wood River Valley. Currently there are no local options for trained nurses to provide forensic exams for rape victims in Blaine County.  To address this critical service gap, we formed a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) comprised of local Law Enforcement, Prosecutors, Medical Professionals, and The Advocates.

As a part of SART, the members are establishing the Blaine County Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) Program. Trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners offer support, resources, and expertise to empower survivors through their healing journey.
