Child Care Provider (I, II, III)

Salary & Benefits: $20 starting base, DOE

Job Description:

The mission of The Advocates is to teach people of all ages how to build and maintain healthy relationships. We accomplish this through education, shelter and support services. We envision a compassionate community, free from emotional and physical abuse.

 

The Child Care Provider will provide care for children ages 0 -5 years as assigned by the Thrive Kids Learning Center Manager.  The Child Care Provider will be responsible for meeting children’s needs and ensuring their safety.

Qualifications:

Education and/or experience that gives the applicant the ability to complete the job

responsibilities as outlined. Requires a minimum two years child care experience. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required. Must have a demonstrated commitment to children through previous volunteer work or employment. Ability to work well with persons of varied sexual preference, racial, ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds, and with individuals who are differently-abled.


Duties:

Provides care for infants and toddlers as assigned. Provides child care for children enrolled in the extended care program as scheduled by Thrive Kids Learning Center Manager.  Organizes and leads age appropriate activities.  Position reports to the Thrive Kids Learning Center Manager and performs other duties as assigned.


Training requirements:

CPR training and certification is required.  A minimum of four hours of continuing education is required annually and will be paid for by employer and offered by employer or other appropriate organization.  Candidate must pass criminal background check.
